Jennifer Lamiraqui vs Holly Peers
(BBU Independent vs This Is Glamour)
(0-4 vs 4-4, 3 KO)
Results: BBU; Story: Vassago
BEFORE: It's just impossible to stage a BBU PPV event on French soil without the presence of one of the local heroines. While the country's top performer Malika Menard has refused to share the card with the same woman who stripped her of the lightweight title - Gal Gadot - a replacement was found on short notice and glamour model Jennifer Lamiraqui accepted the Holly Peers gauntlet.
Holly is another of these crowd-pleasing former Page Three girls but hasn't enjoyed the top billing which the likes of Rosie Jones, Emma Glover and Lucy Pinder do on a regular basis. Truth be told, she jumped into a woeful 1-4 start to her BBU career but has racked up three consecutive wins since - including a double success over the notorious Katie Price. However these results didn't earn her a place on the JMDD title tournament line-up and Denise van Outen reckons Peers has a point to prove tonight and her appearance on this specific card - where the inaugural BBU JMD(D) silverware will be decided - is anything but a mere coincidence: "The only question is whom Holly jerked off to get on tonight's card?"
Jennifer Lamiraqui wears a pink bikini set and white gloves. Long dark brown hair loose and straight. Holly Peers wears a crimson bikini set with black trim and matching crimson gloves. Long dark brown hair in loose waves. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the lightweight division.
Jennifer needed six months to recover from the epic beating she suffered at the hands of Petra Nemcova but Denise van Outen reckons it's not about the physical scars but the mental ones as Holly drives up her gut early in the opening minute and begins to lay into the local model like there's no tomorrow. What the heck is going on? Lamiraqui offers as much resistance as Louise Redknapp after a night out with the girls and gets pounded back to the ropes in no time only to eat a faceful of the English leather. Holly just rains punches here and snaps her rival's head repeatedly during the second minute. Jennifer does swing a couple of times from the back foot and actually nails Peers on the mouth but gets trapped on the ropes for good and only the lack of versatile attack prevents Holly from doing more damage according to van Outen. The head hunting execution flames out in the third minute and Jennifer manages to display a solid high guard before finally locking the fellow brunette into a clinching stalemate.
The uptempo swinging from Peers is just too much for the French model who gets beaten for the initial punch which resumes the familiar head hunting ordeal shortly afterwards. Jennifer refuses to buckle at first and sends a promising counterpunching series but Holly's aggression eventually comes to the fore and allows her to lump the Frenchwoman up during the second minute. Jennifer begins to wince in pain and yields real estate however she's not quick enough to avoid more English juice and Peers pounds her to the ropes with ease while finally showing some midsection ideas come the final minute. TIG coach Melida Messenger leads the tactical switch but perhaps the English model has grown tired of the Lamiraqui high guard herself. She drills the exposed tummy and sinks her foe on jelly knees at the bell. It's been a painful show for the Cannes audience and Jennifer kicks the sand in frustration, she knows all too well what is wrong with her performance tonight.
Holly just keeps hassling around the loose surface and thumps more leather into Jennifer's face. The older of the two models just can't stay out of the striking range and when her foot gets stuck in a hole, she bends awkwardly to the side and drops her guard just as the English brunette slams a right hook on the jaw and follows it with a haymaker from the left that finds the eye... LAMIRAQUI GOES DOWN... a classic one-two thnderclap combo breaks the older brunette's resilience and Denise van Outen saw it coming from miles away... Jennifer bravely beats the count at six but looks extremely rattled and just doesn't have the footwork to escape the looming rush... Holly sticks more juice upstairs and Lamiraqui's high guard crumbles under the pressure, she gets pounded back to the ropes and begins to squeal when she gets hit repeatedly, it's all coming from Holly now as she barks in the determination to blow her subdued rival away... there's nothing coming from Jennifer anymore and she gets plastered into a standstill come the final minute... Holly's glued into her face but then finds the presence of mind to deliver that one shot to the belly WHICH FOLDS THE FRENCHWOMAN ON HER KNEES straight away. The referee takes a long look at the fallen brunette but proceeds with a slow eight count; Jennifer battles through the tears of defeat and shakes her head when asked if she wants to continue so it's KO3 Holly Peers!!!
AFTER: While Melinda Messenger aims to win the JMD(D) double silverware tonight, she's still very proud of Holly's performance and vows to finally feature her in the jug muggin' title mix sooner rather than later. This steady improvement must finally result in some high-profile match-ups and Denise van Outen reckons the former Page Three model is ready to enjoy the prime-time billing. On the other hand Jennifer Lamiraqui drops to 0-5 record and she should be looking at the likes of Ilary Blasi if she ever wants to break her lousy streak. The Cannes audience was treated with a terrible performance and one should really wonder if Malika Menard's pride was worthy of such a traumatic experience after all?
Final result: Holly Peers def. Jennifer Lamiraqui KO3.
