BEFORE: Erin McNaught was really disappointed she didn't make the upcoming Beach Boxing Bustle PPV line-up - the ACB front office decided to push with former lightweight champion Rachael Finch instead - but found herself in a last chance salloon when fellow model Carla Ossa explored her celebrity boxing opportunities and discovered the Australian brunette ready to accept any sort of a challenge. "Green & Gold" Magazine's chief reporter Sarah Cumming helped to set this fight up in the AIS Arena in McNaught's home city of Canberra and provides the play-by-play commentary on a special BBU TV/Channel Nine coverage. Erin McNaught wears a pink & blue floral themed bikini and neon green gloves. Brown hair in loose waves. Carla Ossa wears a yellow bikini top, blue knickers and red gloves. Dark brown hair in loose waves. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the lightweight division. Round 1: Not much is known of Ossa apart from her Colombian nationality and supreme height compared to McNaught. The Aussie brunette gives away two inches to her opponent and looks a little carried away by the occasion early on as she gets smacked around the ring with Carla wasting no time whatsoever in making her presence felt here. The BBU has seen the arrival of Alessandra Ambrosio to boost the originally extinct South American contingent and one can only wonder how good Ossa actually is. Sarah Cumming remains hopeful Erin can knock her around but the reach advantage becomes an issue and leaves McNaught getting caught repeatedly in mid distance as Ossa slowly begins to find her stride on BBU debut. Round 2: McNaught struggles to connect with more than a single punch while Ossa keeps coming at her and flirts with overhand jabbing that puts the Aussie veteran on notice. Erin knocked Georgia Salpa out last time she was seen in the ring but that was over two years ago and she looks visibly rusty tonight, losing most of the jabbing exchanges and getting drilled on the body when Carla switches her targets. That's some confident boxing from the Colombian and Sarah Cumming is really worried about the lack of evil spark from McNaught. Carla stuffs her into the corner deep into the third minute and ravages the exposed ribcage with Erin just yelping in pain and unable to do anything about the Latin heat. Round 3: Perhaps the decision to exclude McNaught from the Beach Boxing PPV was the correct one as the Canberra native keeps misfiring badly and fails to ignite any home court pressure on her opponent who jumps into a jabbing frenzy early in the third again and picks the stagnant Erin off repeatedly before the Aussie brunette simply bends to the side scowling and just looking for a way out. Ossa smashes her on the ribcage with a looping hook and clips the chin to set up a brutal hook from the left that dumps the older model on the ropes with eyes closed. Here comes Carla then, she dissects the Aussie guard and traps the local favorite butt-in-ropes scything through the jugs in a sudden flurry of pure destruction. Erin's on her heels, poor thing getting rattled badly in front of her home crowd but Carla refuses to toy around with her and BLASTS a piercing uppercut on the jaw that JACK-KNIFES her rival onto the canvas in a split second! That's not what the ACB executives were hoping for but Ossa looks extremely impressive fitness-wise and perhaps Alessandra Ambrosio has something to be worried about after all? It's almost too easy and too short for the Colombian who lets the local girl off the hook in the final twenty seconds after the countdown was halted at eight with Erin staggering back to her feet with difficulty. This is a one-sided affair and Ossa makes some gestures at the crowd indicating she looks to punish their girl for a little while yet! Supreme Latin confidence on display but the AIS Arena is hardly sympathetic here! Round 4: BronzedOz's head trainer Nicky Whelan is furious with the lack of production from her protegee but there just isn't anything McNaught can do about the supreme fitness of her opponent and it's getting from bad to worse for the home favorite who gets stuffed with another hook on the solar plexus and basically loses her breath on the spot. Carla takes her time and whips past the leaking guard with a jaw-bursting hook and only watches as Erin slumps on the ropes with another loud groan... this is a hunting trip for the Colombian now... she apparently wants to see a fightback from her opponent but McNaught is all over the place and looks to avoid more Latin heat more than anything else. Ossa flirts with the breadbasket and actually gets punched in the face as the Aussie tries to salvage some pride here but then gets whooped against the turnbuckle and the ruthless body assault eventually breaks her down in the final minute. Too much drilling jabs bounce off the midsection and slump the older brunette into spasms before another uppercut on the chin DROPS HER ON THE BACKSIDE moments later. Carla shakes some booty and earns herself explicit comments from the crowd but this is everything the AIS Arena can throw at her with McNaught nearing complete meltdown. She gets up at eight and leans against the ropes and Ossa mercifully lets her see out another round but even Sarah Cumming shouts from the booth: "Just finish her off already!" Round 5: Erin just doesn't have the ring shape to make the fight competitive and the whole of ACB simply let the fox into the henhouse as Ossa finally abandons the teasing attire and ROCKS the subdued Aussie with a vicious left/right hooking combo on the mouth that drops McNaught's guard on the spot before another strike on the solar plexus renders her into dummy mode. Nicky Whelan should have called it quits during the interval and now she does the right thing by THROWING IN THE TOWEL with McNaught sliding down onto her knees and sobbing her heart out shortly afterwards. What a beatdown here in Canberra but unfortunately for the ACB faithful, it's TKO5 Carla Ossa!!! AFTER: Grim atmosphere in the BronzedOz Boxing corner but perhaps they were spared even bigger failure on the Beach Boxing Bustle PPV later this month. Erin McNaught needs immediate gym work to ever become another chance again however Sarah Cumming takes a shot at coach Nicky Whelan for doing a lousy job and basically sending her fighter out there to fight at her own peril. While Carla is a rookie, she arrived in Canberra in top physical condition whereas Erin could barely make it past the third round before apparently needing extra oxygen. One can only wonder what was she doing for the last couple of years? BronzedOz & Whelan paid a heavy price for underestimating their opponent but it was McNaught who suffered the most damage in the end. Just a terrible night for the entire ACB organization. However Carla shows enough respect to the home camp and tries to console the sobbing brunette whom she just wrecked few minutes earlier. Erin apologizes for her lacklustre showing and vows to salvage her sinking career ship but even Sarah Cumming wonders what's next in store for both of tonight's contestants. Carla's heading over to Europe no doubt but Erin might be shelved for remainder of the year and is very much on the crossroads of her journeywoman ACB/BBU adventure. The only way is up for the Canberra-based model but someone - not Nicky Whelan based on tonight's evidence - needs to get her engine running before it's too late. Final result: Carla Ossa def. Erin McNaught TKO5 (Corner Stoppage).

BEFORE: Amanda Holden was revived into active BBU competition last month after almost four years away from the ring but simply couldn't last more than three rounds against youngster Lorna Fitzgerald so it's understandable her next opponent is someone well within her age group. In fact Dannii Minogue was born in the very same year as Holden however her boxing results are far superior to date and the entire AIS Arena awaits a brutal knock out from the brunette singer. Allthough Minogue is based in the UK she doesn't forget about her partisan fanbase and records her first official bout on home soil since the ANZAC Day Memorial in June 2014. On the other hand Holden just goes for an exotic ride here and Green & Gold's Sarah Cumming wonders how much she got paid by the ACB front office to make the long journey from England. Amanda Holden wears a light blue bikini top, white hotpants and white gloves. Long light brown hair tied in a sleek ponytail. Dannii Minogue wears a golden bikini top, brown knickers and brown gloves. Medium lenght dark brown hair loose & straight. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the flyweight division. Round 1: Holden knows she has her work cut out against the multiple AWUBA featherweight champion but still manages to silence the AIS Arena with an inspired jabbing drive that reels Minogue on her heels inside the opening minute. It's almost all or nothing stuff from the British veteran as she rains punches in close range without much tactical plan to speak of but that still does the trick with the brunette looking surprised by the onslaught and unable to settle down in her own attacks whatsoever. Dannii's forced to fend off the Holden charge and just can't do that after the blonde stuffs her in the gut with a belting hook followed by a crisp uppercut on the jaw. Amanda screams out in her efforts and actually pounds the AWUBA legend butt-in-ropes come the final minute where she blasts more piercing jabs to the body and shuts Dannii out competely to silence the AIS Arena in a fashion even Carla Ossa would be proud of just minutes ago. Round 2: Minogue shakes her head during the break and she probably expected Holden to collect the ACB paycheck and roll over tonight but that's not the case in the opening round. Still, she keeps pressing ahead with the hooking approach and when Amanda bounces off the high guard in another close range tangle, we finally get to see why Dannii's on top of her game in the national rankings. She rips a brutal hook on the liver and Amanda felt that immediately so she bends awakwardly to the side leaving herself exposed upstairs. Minogue pounces on the hole adding a quick hook on the mouth before a wide follow up finds the temple and reels the blonde on her heels. Amanda squeals in pain but fails to respond and eats another jabbing rush on the breadbasket which backs her into the ropes as Dannii fires more crunching leather. She buries the British veteran on the ropes and cleans out the guts before ripping more uppecuts straight through the shaken-up guard. Amanda's head springs back all over town in the dying seconds and Dannii whacks her one more time on the belly button to stamp her authority on a pillar-to-post dominant performance in this round. The AIS Arena is LOUD once again!!! Round 3: Amanda tries to hang back after getting pounded around in the second but she fails to embrace the quick dancer footwork from Minogue and soon gets run over by more featherweight power. Those petite singers can move extremely well most of the time and Amanda just doesn't have the speed available to settle down in defense, the original plan worked the best but it's Dannii who forces the issue in the third and scythes the high guard down to leave bruising marks on Holden's face. The English lass just doesn't know how to escape the close range mess and when Minogue drills her across the mouth one more time, she drops back to the ropes where it gets even worse. The UK-based Aussie harpoons her around the elbows and sinks on jelly knees when a hooking double finds the liver area... Holden aches and groans under the repeated onslaught and leaves too much space upstairs, a quick hook on the nose bends her against the ropes before a perfect strike to the solar plexus signals instant demise.. DOWN GOES HOLDEN!!! Ugh! The Aussie legend is back on track and the Canberra audience wants to see more of that tonight! Amanda does beat the slow count at eight but has serious breathing issues now and basically allows Dannii to punish her midriff without reply in the final seconds, almost Downunder gym-like work for the brunette who has to be dragged off by the ref at the bell with Amanda looking all but wrapped up in submission mode. Round 4: Holden tries to be brave here but barely lands a punch in the fourth when the Aussie streamroller derails her resistance well inside the opening minute already. Forget the English guard - it's all gone - and Amanda slumps forward after a quick gut-check to meet a crunching uppercut on the jaw that flaps her back to the ropes on the spot. She bounces off into shimmy shake disaster just a split second before MINOGUE PUNCHES HER GUMSHIELD FLYING OFF INTO THE STANDS!!! Holden collapses face down on the canvas and remains spread eagle for the next five minutes or so; the ref doesn't even bother with the count! KO4 Dannii Minogue in lights out fashion!!! AFTER: Thankfully Amanda avoids a trip to the medical center but she looks all woozy long after the verdict is announced. That was stellar stuff from the younger of the Minogue sisters and Sarah Cumming is convinced that Dannii's last fight is nowhere near on the horizon. One has to remember that current Downunder Boxing manager Elle MacPherson fought her last battle at the age of 51! Dannii was slightly upset by Amanda's aggression in the opening round but quicklyn adjusted and just romped clear into KO glory like so often before. She vows to visit Sydney's Bondi Beach next weekend where older sis Kylie will clash gloves with the former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell under FCBA rules and perhaps book a rematch with the notorious redhead while she's around the place: "Kylie couldn't be here with me tonight, she's working her butt off to slam dunk Halliwell into a complete mess but I'll be there to see what that carrot tramp has left. No way she retires before giving me a rematch! I still remember our last fight! (...) Holden was just a mere snack for breakfast. She was kinda desperate and Elle agreed to spill the cash. Nobody refuses to book me a fight when I want it! And I really wanted to beat Amanda up! That felt as good as my complete destruction of that plastic whore Cheryl Cole a while back. Speaking of the whore, did you see her results over in America? Man, that's just bad. Why on Earth nobody sends her back to the gutter where she belongs!" The long-lasting feud between Dannii and Cheryl is somewhat old news given the latter's monster run of results in the FCBA but the Aussie singer is always one for the spicy trash-talk so expect more action on the Halliwell front on pure replacement value. Meanwhile her explicit tirade about Cole's "sausage legs" is eventually cut short by Sarah Cumming since the AIS Arena is ready to welcome the former Miss Universe Jennifer Hawkins under Main Event banner. Final result: Dannii Minogue def. Amanda Holden KO4.

BEFORE: This is the Main Event in Canberra where former Miss Universe Jennifer Hawkins enters the ring for the final time before her scheduled trip to Japan next month. Her goal is to beat Sayuki Matsumoto and emerge as the BBU lightweight title contender before the year is over however she booked this fight against Micaela Schaefer as dress rehearsal more than anything else. Hawkins did a stellar job knocking Amy Willerton out in beach boxing rules back in May but remains slightly underrated on the international scene despite being crowned as AWUBA lightweight champion before. "Green & Gold's" Sarah Cumming thinks that's down to Krystal Forscutt's previous success in Europe but the pieces finally seem to be falling into the right places for the blonde six footer and if she can beat both Schaefer & Matsumoto within the upcoming six weeks, she's be in prime position to challenge for Malika Menard-owned BBU straps. On the other hand there's not much focus on Schaefer, the glamour and sometime nude model remains a bounty hunter and accepts any fight around the world for pure financial gain only. She was stopped by fellow German Indira Weis back in March and now she's a ranked outsider vs Hawkins again. However she steals the pre-fight introductions with fairly onboxious jug twerking and doesn't see to care about her reputation at all. Plus the AIS Arena is rocking in delight and let's just hope this one doesn't end as quickly as Minogue vs Holden few minutes ago! Jennifer Hawkins wears a golden bikini top with green trim, green knickers and brown gloves. Long blonde hair tied in a sleek ponytail. Micaela Schaefer wears a white bikini set with black trim and red gloves. Long black hair pulled back into a thick ponytail. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the lightweight division. Round 1: Hawkins puts an early pressure on the German and whacks her from mid range to split the gloves and power ahead with the facial assault. Schaefer's footwork remains a real issue for the 32 year old and it shows quickly here as she fails to fend off the Aussie heat and gets picked off from close range after Hawkins leans on the front (left) leg and maintains the high-octane start. Micaela finally manages to clinch the pageant winner but still eats a drilling series on the ribcage and gets wrestled back to the ropes where the blonde shows superior strenght and breaks free before blasting the brunette across the mouth. Schaefer's head rocks sideways and she can do little about the Aussie scoring more heavy jabs to the body as she runs the clock down soaking up relentless attack. Excellent start for the local girl and the AIS crowd loves it! Round 2: Micaela tries to find her stride here but bounces off the high earmuff and gets whacked to the body instead; Jennifer shows no signs of slowing down and perhaps wearing the German out as she pummels the exposed ribcage and bends the brunette on her heels in the progress. Schaefer's best idea to weather the storm is to clinch the pageant but she gets muscled off into another hooking drive that spins her back to the ropes half-way through the round. The footwork & agility ain't there to avoid the Hawkins follow up and the local favorite storms into another jabbing frenzy to shut off her rival completely come the final minute. Micaela aches and groans behind the desperate guard however remains pinned in the corner and slumps against the turnbuckle when the bell finally earns her a much-needed respite. Round 3: Perhaps Hawkins wants to explore tactics that will profit her in the Matsumoto clash next month as she sticks all her efforts downstairs in the third which looks anything but accidental. That's still too much for Schaefer who flicks only a couple of solid jabs on the cheeks before checking out again; this time she shows some improved footwork to drag the fight into a lenghty mid distance exchange that prevents Jennifer from landing more ruthless combos as the tempo of the bout dramatically slow down. Micaela powers ahead with single strikes late in the going but doesn't find a way through the bulletproof local guard whatsoever and settles for some fancy circles thereafter with Hawkins still keeping her game face on. Round 4: The Downunder Boxing camp looks relaxed during the break but head coach Nikki Visser keeps an eye on the German fighter in the opposite corner. No signs of imminient submission from the otherwise hittable brunette so we're back into action and Micaela upsets the odds by rocking the blonde with a jabbing drive that finally splits the mitts on regular basis and forces the local girl to back off from close range. Schaefer tries to add more leather but she's not the fastest on her feet and fails to close Hawkins down. Momentum shifts in the second half of the round as Jennifer doesn't look concerned over the brunette's attacks and rips another scything cross to the body followed by a brief flirt with the cleavage. Micaela looks really bothered by the body assault and caves in behind another earmuff which gives the blonde more room to work with. She pummels the German back to the ropes and cleans out the midsection in workmanlike fashion thereafter. Round 5: This is like a random ranking fight, not the audition for the BBU lightweight title contention but Sarah Cumming predicts the smoke screen show at Matsumoto's expense. Hawkins looks to be holding back the cavalry a touch and just settling into more body attacks that freeze Schaefer out in the center of the ring again. The German responds with a spirited overhand assault but lacks the big punch and any combinations to really impress the judges as well as the entire AIS Arena. She gets pummelled back to the ropes when Hawkins improves the intensity of the attack and threatens to whitewash the brunette on the cards at half-distance. At the bell Schaefer looks upset for the first time tonight and she must realize she's getting duped into a complete rout with the former Miss Universe toying around with her. Round 6: Schaefer tries to blast her way through the Aussie guard with a quick leather rush in close range but gets whacked on the temple with a furious response and Hawkins finally means business as she drops the German's mitts after landing a monster hook on the mouth. Micaela yelps in pain and bends forward to find another uppercut blast on the chin that sinks her on jelly knees on the spot. She cries out in more anguish yet Hawkins rips a left cross on the nose TO SEND HER CRASHING DOWN ON HER BUM moments later! Yep, the fun & games are over and Hawkins nods back to coach Visser and manager MacPherson as she glares down on her opponent. Schaefer's punching resistance was always below par and she barely makes it back up at eight this time. She vows to continue the bout but gets stuffed with a double combo on the mouth again and Jennifer slams her on the temple with another vicious hook shortly afterwards. Ugh! Micaela wobbles forward into crying spasms and as soon as she lifts her head, it's all over... RIGHT HAND ON THE NOSE SENDS THE GERMAN PACKING... Schaefer's reduced into a sack of potatoes mid-air and hits the boards HARD!!! No need for the count anymore so the AIS Arena erupts in joy! KO6 Jennifer Hawkins!!! AFTER: That looked awfully tacitcal from the former AWUBA lightweight champion and Downunder Boxing manager Elle MacPherson confirms that wile talking to Sarah Cumming. Hawkins simply needed fight practice so she held back for most of the night: "She could have finished Schaefer inside five minutes but what's the point? We've got plenty of sparring partners in ACB but the girls were banged up a lot since Jen gave them no quarter during the last three weeks or so. We needed a fresh face and Micaela was the only one that answered the bell on short notice. The trip to Europe makes no sense at this moment with the Jewels' card planned in Tokyo for early September. But I'm happy with Jen's performance. I think she'll score the upset and become a true BBU lightweight championship contender after beating Matsumoto. After all, we don't have to worry about Doutzen Kroes anymore (laughs)." Final result: Jennifer Hawkins def. Micaela Schaefer KO6.
