Tom Hilton:Hello ladies and gentlemen; sadly we seem to have gotten the cold weather back, so thankfully we have had a lot of action in the ring to distract ourselves from this mini beast from the east we are experiencing, oh and the small matter of St. Patrick's day yesterday, hopefully you don't have too big a headache. First on today's show, we discuss the main event of the latest round of Contender 6 tournament fights, Stephanie Davis and Heidi Range were both desperate to get a win in the tournament, especially that it was a home derby for both women. Then we discuss the highly anticipated fight between Tiffany Mulheron and Lily Allen, both were unbeaten in the tournament and a win on Wednesday could see them win the tournament on the back of this fight. Third on today's show is the final bout from the Contenders card, Jenna Louise Coleman and Diana Korkunova fought, with both looking to make a statement in this former champ versus possible future champ clash. Finally on the show; we talk about yesterday's St Patrick's day fight between Martha Hunt and Vogue Williams, which of these stunning women could take the win and earn a drink. In other news; the latest BBU PPV will be announced tomorrow, we have seen the list of fights and can honestly say it looks an awesome card. also one fight we sadly didn't have time to really highlight here, Danielle Sharp continued her impressive start to her career with a JMD fight win over Rhian Sugden in just 4 rounds, Danielle continues to be one of the names we suggest you all watch out for going forwards.

Part 1: Stephanie Davis vs Heidi Range It's funny how pride over where you come from sometimes also splits us, both of these women are proud Liverpudlians but with that they wanted to show they are the best fighter from the area.
The fact both were looking for their first win in the contender 6 tournament, so tension was high and it showed during the build up and the fight itself.
Early on they went hell for leather; slugging it out as whether by design or simply their tempers got the better of them as they looked like they should have been fighting without the gloves.
Once things settled down after the first round; Stephanie seemed to take charge on the inside, bullying Heidi back around the ring and trying to wear out the veteran.
It led to Heidi being put down on her backside in the 4th round; Heidi had to shake it off and grab onto Stephanie till she recovered, with Stephanie herself looking desperate as she rushes forwards to try and finish the fight.
Which in turn led to her downfall; Heidi showed her experience to punish Stephanie for her mistake, till a right hook catch Stephanie flush on her temple and it was all she wrote.
Stephanie again has failed to show that class that got her involved in this tournament against the truly elite of the BBU, making us have to ask what the hell has happened, is it purely due to lack of confidence or has she been found out as not really being top class?
While Heidi will be relieved to have won, her future in her own stable was we understand questionable if she had lost every fight in the tournament as surely she wouldn't be threatening the elite after the tournament.
Now that she has the chip off her shoulder, she has a chance to finish the tournament off with a strong run, will she? Well we will have to wait and see as this tournament has certainly seen surprises so far, who'd bet against Heidi ending up in the middle of the tournament table?

Part 2: Tiffany Mulheron vs Lily Allen Before the contender 6 tournament, you'd have seen pundits, managers and even some fighters asked about the names in the tournament, Lily would have been in the top 2, Tiffany though would probably have not been in that top end of the table.
So to see these two go at it to see who would go to the top of the table as both came in with 2 wins and no losses in the tournament, so there was a lot at stake.
The fight itself saw both early on show each other some respect, till Lily started to show why she is one of the most feared inside fighters in the BBU, bashing Tiffany around the ring when she got to the inside.
As the action rolled on; it was a very even contest, Lily continued to be dangerous when she got into range, the issue she had was getting into her range to work, as Tiffany showed why she has been so strong in her fights so far, keeping cool and boxing skillfully on the outside.
Lily did look like she was going to pull away at one point around the forth and fifth round, but Tiffany caught Lily on her nose and caused it to bleed badly with her repeated hits.
It was a vicious looking right across the nose of Lily in the seventh that ended it, normally I don't give Katie Price credit, as Lily lay on the canvas holding her nose; Katie threw in the towel to save her fighter.
We were told by the doctor Lily's nose wasn't broken thankfully, it was clearly bad though when we saw it as blood was dripping onto Lily's jugs.
The big news though is the woman we are dubbing the comeback kid continues to prove if you step away from the ring for two years, if you have the quality it doesn't dull your skills at all.
While Lily will feel hard done by the way things ended, I can't fault Katie as I said and Lily will still have one hell of a chance of finishing second at least in two months time when the tournament ends, so she shouldn't be too disheartened.
Judging by the way Lily has been since the fight, I expect both women might see each other once again in the ring before the end of the year if Lily has her way.

Part 3: Jenna Louise Coleman vs Diana Korkunova When the Contender 6 tournament was announced; while all the fights interested me, this was the main one as it featured the former pound for pound queen, the woman who dominated the flyweight division in Jenna Louise Coleman.
Against our Rookie of the year; a woman who has fans excited for her looks, her charm and certainly her boxing ability in Diana Korkunova.
To think that Diana has only had a fifth of the fights that Jenna has in her career, yet people thought she could upset the odds over the future Hall of famer.
The fighters themselves clearly respect each other as the first round was a cagey affair, both tested each others defences and reflexes out.
The action quickly heated up though with Diana pushing the pace on the outside, Jenna tried to compensate in the early going but Diana's range really gave the former champion trouble.
Jenna did get into her own rhythm of course soon enough, leading a classic back and forth as they each had very strong rounds where they enforced their style on the other.
During the middle rounds of the round, Diana rocked Jenna with a vicious uppercut, Jenna had to rely on all her tricks of the trade, holding onto Diana to force breaks so she could recover.
Jenna would go on to rock Diana in the next round with an overhand right catching the youngsters temple, rocking her onto the ropes where Jenna battered her but couldn't finish it then.
Round 7 was when the fight found it's finish, Jenna caught Diana with a vicious right hook, the follow up left hook hit the off switch and Jenna added another name to her already impressive list of victims in the ring.
I want to say how great it was though to see Jenna head over to Diana once she was OK to check on her and give her the respect she deserves for what was an awesome performance.
Hopefully Diana isn't too disheartened by this defeat, she has a losing record in the tournament but has never looked out of place with the other elite stars at any point.
While Jenna continues to remind people why she was the top star in the BBU, I know from speaking to her that losing her title to Cheryl Cole hurt her badly, but watching that swagger she has when in full flow is amazing to watch.
The interesting bit; it's Jenna vs Lily Allen in the next set of tournament fights, both have fought before and were stablemates in the past who just happen to hate each other, so expect fireworks people!

Final Part: St. Patrick's day boutWell st Patrick's day is always a fun time of year and the BBU celebrates this holiday with a bout with local favourites every year. This year it was down to Vogue Williams to defend national pride you could say as she fought American Martha Hunt, who has Irish family to make her worthy of taking part in this tradition. The early action saw both girls fight as if they were outside a bar, just slugging it out as they tried to mark their mark on each other. It was Martha who took the early control, she smacked Vogue across her face after another heated exchange to shove the Ireland native onto her heels. It led to round 4 where Martha put down Vogue with a sustained drive, with the crowd willing Vogue to get up, which she did and looked to have finally lost her temper completely. Vogue seemed to learn from her mistakes, I mean if she hadn't then the fight would have ended quickly after the knockdown, you could argue she got lucky as she landed a vicious right that opened a cut above Martha's eyebrow. Martha tried to keep the pressure on her opponent, but that just left her open to a venomous right that cracked her on her nose and put her on her backside, she did get up but a right hook turned Hunt into a wreck! It was a fun fight to watch; though the drinks at the event might have effected me more then I thought seriously it was great to watch and showed why people watch the big girls when a fight can turn with one punch. Martha was unlucky it could be argued, she didn't finish the job though when she had the chance, so she needs to look in the mirror and work out how she can improve because I think she has a bright future if she can find that bit extra in her arsenal. While Vogue still has work to do herself, but she has ticked something off the question list of any new fighter, she got up when hurt and fought back, which is a great sign for her future. So I'd keep watch on both of these women, they can both have a a bright future if they get the work to do so and the backing in training. Well that's all we have time for, hope everyone enjoyed today's show and thank you for taking the time to read these posts, we will be back next Sunday.
