Tom Hilton: Hello ladies and gentlemen; this week has been a true international flavour, 4 different nationalities fought in 4 bouts in the past week.
We will start this weeks episode by discussing the bout between Maria Ozawa and Perrie Edwards, both women wanted to prove something to their own management in Gateshead.
Then we move on to Sandy Moelling and Katya Jones, this was the first fight of a great two card fight in Germany, could Sandy get back to winning ways against the up and coming Jones?
Third on the show is the main event of that card, Ann-Katherin Brommel and Tatiana Dieteman, the girls both wanted to put on a show and get up the rankings in their early career.
Finally on today's show; we talk about Natalia Vodianova vs Yasmin Verheijen, could the old tigress beat the young lioness?
In other news; Ola Jordan and Laura Whitmore have signed for Frankie's Foxes, I don't particularly care for Frankie and both are interesting signings, I think Ola is not the elite but definitely can still win, Laura is a jobber in my eyes, so where they go under his leadership will be something to watch.

Part 1: Maria Ozawa vs Perrie Edwards Two women here who you'd say before this fight deserve more work to be able to step up in class, but had questions surrounding whether either has that class to step up into the true elite.
Maria has found chances waning in the Girls Friday stable; she has an impressive record to say the least, I mean she had only lost twice out of 10 fights up till this point.
The issue she has is the fact she has a stable with Elizabeth Henstridge and Ivana Baquero above her in the internal pecking order it seems and lacks a real marque victory like the other two have.
Perrie meanwhile has sort of being struck in limbo, when she does fight; normally she can put on a good performance, but she doesn't fight often enough, with Ola Jordan signing with her stable, Perrie might be shoved back in her own stable pecking order.
So a lot rode on a win here, a win could help get them more notice off the public, which would lead them into more fights, a loss would certainly keep them in the shadows.
The fight itself was a shocker; to be precise Maria was shocking how good she was, very crisp with her punching, she kept catching Perrie early with counter punches to her face.
To be clear; Perrie wasn't exactly being stupid with her skills, she tried to work behind the jab, she just couldn't find any gaps to exploit, with Maria showing patience she hasn't shown before this fight.
As the fight progressed, Maria put down Perrie in the third, with the Geordie lass showing her toughness to get up and fight on for another 2 rounds.
Round 5 saw the finish; the volume of punches Perrie was taking proved too much as she ate an uppercut and found herself snoozing for the ten count.
After the fight nearly saw a fight between Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Maria; Perrie's Little Mix bandmate and Frankie's Foxes stablemate tried to rush the winner but she nearly got her head taken off by a right hook, with the referee stepping in to keep both apart, that could be a fiery fight in future.
But for now we know that Maria has Zara Holland to look forwards too, that should be an interesting fight as Zara has big punches in either fist, while if this Maria turns up, well Maria should win that one.
While this wasn't a marque result down to Perrie being middle of the road due to stable matters and scheduling issues, the performance was what you want to see from someone who aims for the top.
Perrie meanwhile shouldn't be too down beaten, while she needs to work hard in the gym, she also needs fights as she looks to be a good fighter but she hasn't the work rate yet or experience to become a great fighter, I hope that changes for her.

Part 2:Sandy Moelling vs Katya Jones Katya's time in the BBU so far has been an interesting one; she fought Ola Jordan on her debut which ended with her flat out, lost to Mollie King in her second fight and beat Danielle Lineker that has to be said was a small upset, so it's been hard to work out how good she really is.
Sandy meanwhile is the story of what if? She has good skills but never seemed to use them and now she is the north of 30, well it isn't likely things are going to change, she still has plenty of people she can beat though.
The fight itself started off pretty close; Katya maybe took the first two rounds with her jab seeming to have a targeting sight for Sandy's nose.
Round 3 saw the big moment; a right hook catching Sandy on her temple put her down to her backside with a stunned look on her face, which even as she got up; she looked worried as Katya battered her back around the ring.
A vicious hook that busted Sandy's lips, then a follow up shot to the liver finished Sandy's night as she went to her knees and was too hurt to do much then groan.
Gina Wild as usual made an embarrassment of herself trying to charge Katya, tripping over her own fighter in a scene fitting for the Benny Hill show, with a medical team needing to carry Sandy out the ring.
Sandy looked a shambles here; any hope she had of at least being a great gatekeeper that would be the marker for who becomes elite and who is worthless in the ring is gone!
Katya meanwhile needs to get someone with knowledge of the sport, whether an agent or gets signed to a stable as she has talent but fighting top talents to start your career isn't the smartest thing to do, sadly free agency though means you have to take what you can, though the BBU isn't as bad for that as the FCBA it has to be said.
Now she is 2 and 2 in her career, at least she has somewhere to go with her career, the jury is still out though on her as of right now.

Part 3: Ann-Kathrin Brommel vs Tatiana Dieteman An international clash between these two stunners; with Germany vs America, each needed a win badly last Sunday night as their careers have been slow to say the least.
In Tatiana's case she hasn't even got a win yet, though when you consider her first ever opponent in the ring was the massively impressive Melissa Satta, then it is more understandable.
While Ann-Katherin has a 2 and 3 record, worryingly I'd say against worse opposition then Satta, with her two wins not against great opposition to say the least, so this wasn't as clear cut as people might have expected just purely looking at records.
When the fight begun though; Tatiana looked frightened early on by the occasion, fighting in Brommel's hometown, she nervously early on tried to work on the outside and I guess build her way into the fight.
Too bad for her then that Ann-Katherin wasn't interested in letting her do that, with the early part of the fight seeing the German star punish her body and bully her around the ring.
When Tatiana tried to fire back in a hot tempered exchange in round 2; it led to her being put onto her knees as a piercing right to her solar plexus.
But off that knockdown; Brommel became more reckless, throwing too many wild shots that Tatiana was able to duck and start throwing counters square onto the lips of chin of Ann-Katherin to knock her back.
That gave Dieteman hope it seems as she came out fighting in round 3, even worrying the hometown favourite as she was backing her up with stiff shots, till after a grappling session; Ann-Katherin put her down again with a vicious overhand left.
She got back up; by round 4 though she was deeply in trouble, with Ann-Katherin just battering her back and bloodying her face with cracking shots busting her nose open, thankfully the referee stepped in to wave the fight off as Tatiana was taking way too much punishment!
Ann-Katherin while looked dominant for the most part showed real weaknesses to her game still, when she had Tatiana rocked and down, instead of measuring the finish up she fought like this was her first ever fight and was so desperate to get over the finish line, she nearly blew it!
Maybe those losses affected Ann-Katherin more then we knew as she was too wild in those moments, but it has to be saw she made her power count for the most part, just hope for her sake that Gina can spot her flaws and work on them.
On Tatiana; well she looks easy pickings for a rookie, the Melissa result could be swept under the carpet, this one is much harder to do but I'll wait and see how things play out with her in her next fight, hopefully she finds a jobber to get on the winners board.

Final Part: Natalia Vodianova vs Yasmin Verheijen This was was an interesting one to follow in the build up; Natalia for those who didn't follow her debut, lost to Esti Ginzburg and Yasmin called her out to bring it.
That led to some to the women trading barbs in the build up; Natalia vowing to upset the youngster, while Yasmin wanted to use Natalia as a stepping stone to move forwards with her own career towards the top, leading to when it came to touching gloves, Natalia not showing any respect to her opponent.
Natalia flew out the gates early; Yasmin showed a little ring rust and the fact that the Russian was on a mission helped fuel her early charge.
The younger woman was surprisingly beaten back around the ring by a stiff jab, Natalia showing from her debut that she likes to come straight up the middle with nothing really fancy, just battering her opponent.
Yasmin had to wait till round 4 before she got into her rhythm, using her agility to duck and dodge the punches that were giving her bother early on, countering till her confidence was built up enough to really go for Natalia herself.
It led to a full on slugfest between the two; Yasmin's speed and her own raw power allowed her to put down Natalia in round 5 with a vicious right across the nose of her fellow model.
While Natalia did get up; she was in real trouble as Yasmin seemed to have a magnet to the chin of the older fighter, smacking her back till Natalia was stuck in the corner and went down in a heap due to the punishment, she didn't get up in time and had to be carried out.
Yasmin needs to work on getting into gear earlier, the more experienced fighters will put her out, she looks amazing when she is in full flight but it's getting there seems the trouble.
Natalia has Joanna Krupa it seems to look forwards too, well this isn't probably going to go well for her but she has showed in her two fights so far that she is willing to fight, so if she catches Joanna clean, you never know is all I'll say.
That's the end of today's show, I hope you enjoyed the posts, I want to say thank you for taking the time to read these posts, the next episode will be next Sunday morning as always.
