Tom Hilton: Hello ladies and gentlemen, another week of BBU action has come and gone, now you get to hear our thoughts on the action.
We will be starting the show with a discussion on the main event of the International card from Monday, Helena Mattsson and Elisabetta Canalis fought in a battle of tough veterans.
Then we move on to talk about Jessica Michibata vs Nabilla Benattia, both are up and coming fighters, but there has been a stir around Jessica and her stable, would Nabilla take advantage of any issues?
Third up we discuss the fight between Elodie Yung and Laura Chiatti; both were undefeated in their young careers, who took their first defeat?
Finally we talk about Maisie Williams and Zoe Lister; there was plenty of back story here and it led to an interesting build up, we find out if the fight lived up to it's interest.

Part 1: Helena Mattsson vs Elisabetta Canalis Both Helena and Elisabetta are two veterans of the organization; both wanting to be back in the title hunt and a win against the other would certainly make a big statement of intent on that.
As the fight begun; it was Elisabetta that took early control, outsmarting Helena as the Italian countered the one dimensional attack from Mattsson.
It took 5 rounds for Helena to get into the fight properly; her ring rust evident for all to see as she struggled to shove Elisabetta back in a slugfest.
The problem for Elisabetta seems to be stamina and finding a knockout punch now as she was visibly tiring as the fight entered the final part, Helena started to win the exchanges.
Till in the ninth; Helena was able to catch Elisabetta flush with a right hook and then battered Canalis till she was knocked clean out in shocking style!
Helena looked badly rusty here; if she wants a shot at the title then she is going to have to get herself in action more to get back fully into ring shape.
While Elisabetta looked great for the most part; she couldn't find the power to finish her opponent, that lack of power will stop her from getting into the elite bracket, but I think she is going to be a tough gatekeeper for up and coming fighters to face.
Overall it was an interesting fight to watch and if they ever fight again, it would be interesting to see how things would play out.

Part 2: Jessica Michibata vs Nabilla Benattia Lots of chatter on the future of Jessica in her stable, this fight was going to be interesting to see how Jessica went into this.
While Nabilla was looking to improve on her start to her career, which has been bumpy to say the least, her record stood at 1 win and 2 defeats since she started in the BBU, all those fights in JMDD style, so how would she perform under traditional rules.
Well Nabilla it has to be said took inspiration from her JMD fights, working the jugs and body of Jessica predominantly as she worked on the front foot.
Jessica seemed to struggle as she mostly likes to work at range; her footwork though couldn't match Nabilla's for the most part and found herself being bullied around the ring.
Till round 3; where Jessica caught Nabilla out with an uppercut that rocked back the French model, who found herself being forced back on the outside of the ring, Jessica reminding the crowd what she can do when in full flow.
But in round 4; Nabilla caught her out with a right flush across her chin and several more vicious punches put Jessica on her back, Jessica did get up, the referee had to stop the fight as the Japanese model was barely defending herself and her left eye was becoming gruesome under the beating it was taking.
If you are a fan of Jessica; well this was horrible to watch for you guys and it looks increasingly likely that stable matters concerning her might be getting sorted sooner then later if performances like this keeps happening.
On a lighter note; this was a great performance from Nabilla, though she was dominate against Monika Pietrasinska in a similar vein and failed to deliver after that, so maybe we shouldn't get too excited for her.
But this result can't be ignored and it will be interesting to see how she follows this up, with plenty of talent in France for her to feud with, leading to maybe a showdown with Malika Menard when she reaches that level.

Part 3: Elodie Yung vs Laura Chiatti Somebody's 0 had to go in this fight this past Monday, both women had started off well in their careers, though both are still novices to be frank, so this wasn't that easy a fight to work out who would win.
If anything does split them; it's their backgrounds, Elodie has a legit black belt in Karate, while Laura only has the boxing training her coaches have been giving her.
The first two rounds were evenly matched in terms of Elodie taking the opening round by coming up the centre to work Laura back, who would pay her back in the second with a stiff right across her face.
Things turned for the worst in the third round for Chiatti; an uppercut took her legs from under her to put her onto her knees, which she did get up from but looked a deer in the headlights as she swung desperation punches that found nothing but air.
Round 4 saw the finish as a brutal haymaker finished off Laura, knocking her out and making the crowd even wince as they watched it live.
So OK I heard my name mentioned in the afters by Georgie Thompson at ringside about Elodie, at 37 I don't see her becoming a champion, even with this impressive start, at bantamweight she is going to struggle when going against the elite in their prime.
But with her black belt, you might say "what does that have to do with boxing?" Well she has shown immerse dedication to train for that, it seems to have crossed over well as physically she looks good and strong, technically she is not perfect yet, not much wrong with it though as she clearly learns quickly.
Final comment on her; I hear that Clara Morgane, Elodie Frege and Marion Cotillard all want a piece of her, showing she has ruffled feathers in her home country and maybe she could take the French title from Frege if given the shot.
Now to Laura; while if I was her coach i'd be telling her not to worry too much about losing to a skilled operator like Yung, I'd be worried about her work rate, she let her opponent dictate the pace and rightly she lost.
I see girls like her, Jennifer Metcalfe is a classic of this, who take time to warm into a fight, you have to be on the ball from the first bell to the last or you'll be having a quick nap on the canvas against better fighters then Elodie.

Final Part: Maisie Williams vs Zoe Lister It's always funny to watch the new signing take on the released talent in a stable, in this case; Maisie Williams was sign and Zoe Lister was released from the Girls Friday stable, leading to bad blood between the two as you can guess over the matter.
Maisie cheerfully claimed in the build up that she was signed because she is superior, the fact she is 21 to Zoe's 36 also has to be a big factor, as whether Zoe likes it or not, Maisie certainly has time to make a career for herself.
But Zoe claims that GF were wrong to get rid of her as Maisie isn't good enough, the early results of Maisie have been up and down to say the least, though for the record, Zoe's record is 2 wins and 6 defeats coming into this fight on Friday gone.
So with the mudslinging out the way, the fight itself started quite evenly, Zoe looked to rush Maisie, make the youngster nervous before making her pay for a mistake, Maisie using her speed to compensate for that.
Maisie seemed in better shape in round 2; catching Zoe freely as the older fighter tried to push the pace and ended up being punished for her troubles.
Then Zoe took the momentum back by boxing from the center of the ring, she jabbed Maisie around the ring and more calmly controlled things.
Round 4 was the turning point in the fight, Maisie had threatened Zoe with an uppercut in round 1, it was an uppercut that done Zoe in round 4, putting the blonde down and she couldn't find her way back up from her knees.
Afterwards Maisie rubbed her victory in by placing her foot on Zoe's chest and posing for the cameras, telling Zoe she was done and that she was the future of the BBU.
I'd say Maisie has a good staring block in terms of technical skills, she is fast but the knockout punch was after she had landed a barrage of them, she lacks that one punch knockout and height at being 5'1, so it will be interesting to see how she grows.
Zoe meanwhile looks like she is going to be there for a lot of the younger stars to take on and be beaten by, maybe against some women around her age she could beat, so retirement shouldn't be on her mind.
OK so that's the end of today's show; I hope it was fun and thank you to everyone who took the time to read these posts, remember we will be back next Sunday for the next Real View episode.
