Intro:
National pride is on the line in the Cotai Arena in Macau China, Sui He and Ming Xi both look to get their first win in the ring.
Sui is 28 years old, stands 5'9 1/2 and holds a record of 0 wins and 1 defeat, while Ming is 29 years old, stands 5'10 and holds a record of 0 wins and 3 defeats.
The fighters both held open workouts for their fans, sparring with local fighters to show off their skills, before they spoke to the press.
Sui told the journalists "I lost my debut to Lily Aldridge and frankly I was embarrassed by it" Sui looks down at the ground for a moment, before staring hard into the camera filming this.
"Ming is going to see the real me; I am going to bring the pain to that bytch" Sui making clear that these two are not friends by any stretch.
Something Ming males even more clear as she says "I can't wait to face Sui in that ring, we both want the same things, now with boxing in both our lives, I want to be the face of Chinese celebrity boxing"
She continues with "our fans deserve someone to cheer and I still plan on becoming a champion around the BBU, Sui can watch me from my shadow" smirking as she heads off to get a shower.
Fight night; out comes Sui with her coach first, she gives the fans a wave with her left hand as she jogs down to the ring.
Her attire is a red sports bra with white trim, red bikini bottoms with a white trim, white gloves and red shoes, her hair is braided for battle.
Getting into the ring; Sui looks like she wants to skip to her corner as she smiles warmly to the fans, her coach drilling her in her warm up as she shadow boxes.
Now out comes Ming; she looks a little more serious, bowing to the crowd at the top of the ramp, before she jogs down to the ring with her eyes firmly on her opponent.
Her attire is a white sports bra, matching bikini bottoms, white shoes and gloves, her hair is in a simple ponytail.
Stepping into the ring; she scowls over at Sui, who doesn't look pleased to see her rival either, as the tension in the ring is clear to see.
Soon the fighters are brought to the ring centre by the referee, the fighters touch noses as they get right into each others faces, neither backing down as they exchange several insults in their native tongue.
Asked to touch gloves; they thud them together as the fans look excited to see these two go at it, jogging back to their corners, both are ready to start 10 rounds of lightweight action.
Round 1:
Out come the fighters; both starting off quickly as they look to bully each other back to shove dominance early, Sui dips under a straight and comes up with an overhand right that turns her opponent's head to the side.
Sui begins to drive Ming back with body shots, several finding a home on the abs of Ming, who grunts out and steps back and needs to use her footwork to get out the way of trouble.
But Sui looks to keep control of the round, looking the more aggressive as Ming has to fight off the back foot, the greater volume of punches coming from the slightly smaller fighter, who keeps targeting the body of Xi.
That is till Ming leans out the way of a right cross and counters with a straight off the nose of He, with Ming looking to get payback on her rival after the early beating she took.
Sui though dips under a left and comes inside with two thudding punches to each side of Ming's body, making her hiss as the fighters start trading in tight.
When Sui starts throwing uppercuts; they don't land, but they do make Ming retreat back, with Sui trying to give chase and getting caught with a straight off her face.
It's not long till the bell rings to end the round; Sui smiles as she heads to her corner, Ming looking pissed as she sits on her stool and scowls at her opponent across the ring, knowing she needs to pick up work rate.
Round 2:
The fighters start trading at the ring centre; both looking fully warned up as they throw more punches at a time now.
Sui continues to try to dip down so she can move in tight to work Ming's body; instead though Ming dances back before connecting with a left/tight straight to the head of He.
Who is finding it more difficult to come inside as Ming starts to control the action on the outside, with Ming landing straight shots between the mitts of Sui to her face.
Neither has a great guard; so after Sui gets caught with several more punches that mark up her face, she finally dips under a right and slips inside to land two shots to the body.
In tight both nearly bump heads as they slug it out, the crowd roars both fighters on as they try to shove each other back.
Ming steps back and catches Sui with an uppercut that knocks her head back and knocks her back, Sui needing to cover up as Ming starts throwing a barrage of punches aimed at the head of the smaller fighter.
Sui needing to cover up as she is forced around the ring, with Ming now taking the mantle of aggressive fighter of the two, finding gaps in her opponent's defence to score some hard punches across her face.
The bell rings with Ming looking all business, though inside she must be happy with that round, while now Sui glares at her, marks over her face from the beating she took moments ago.
Round 3:
Both seem to step up in intensity as they circle early and trade punches in bunches, neither has a sterling defence it seems as punches find a way to the others faces, with only some being blocked.
Ming steps back as Sui looks to come up the middle; snapping a double jab off of He's face to ward her back as she looks more comfortable on the outside.
Where she keeps Sui with her movement and rangy punches catching Sui on her face, till blood can be seen trickling from the nose of the younger fighter.
But Sui doesn't give up stalking forwards yet, dipping under a right cross and after shoving Ming towards the ropes, she steps in close to trade with her rival.
Sweat flies off both fighters as they start going toe to toe, Ming looks to try to side step away from the ropes, but Sui catches her with a right across her face, before Ming covers up as she is driven to the ropes.
Ming ends up clinching with Sui; leading to them grappling on the ropes and the referee needed to break apart the snarling fighters.
Once apart; Sui looks to keep the pressure on her opponent as she steps forwards, as she misses with a right aimed at the head of Ming, she gets hit flush on her bloody nose that makes her groan out.
Ming follows with a left cross that catches Sui to the side of her head, allowing Xi to drive her back behind her guard towards a corner.
With seconds left in the round; both let their hands go as Sui is trying to get out from the corner, she manages to catch Ming across her lips with a hard right that causes blood to run from her bottom lip.
The bell rings with both fighters still going at each other, till the referee; who must be earning hazard pay with these two, steps in to separate them, staying in between them till they head back to their corners.
Both fighters are getting cleaned up by their coaches, they both know they are in a fight as they scowl at each other, Ming looking slightly the better but Sui looks determined.
Round 4:
Sui looks to move out her corner quicker, with Ming stuck on the outside of the ring as Sui dips down and works the body with shots to her sides.
Till Sui is shoved back by a left by Ming; forcing her back and as she tries to step forwards, Ming catches her to the nose with a left and a right across her face.
The action is going back and forth; both landing punches to the others cuts as they look to push each other back and get control of the fight.
Stepping back a step; Ming landing a straight that knocks Sui's head back and lands left that knocks He onto the back foot.
Ming starting to push Sui back, smacking her fists into the face of Sui to knock her further towards the ropes, Sui trying to cover up but her guard is too lax, leading to her being pressed onto the ropes.
Sui now pulls Ming into a clinch; her face grimaces as Ming works to scrub Sui's back on the ropes, the referee needed to pry them apart.
Once the action begins again; Ming seems to be getting the better of Sui now, finding gaps to which she lands her punches through.
The round ends with Sui looking a mess as her cheeks are puffy and blood drips from her nose to her jugs, her coach looks worried as they work on cleaning her up.
Ming struts back to her corner with her arms up in the air; her coach praising her but telling her to keep focused as her fans seem to be shouting louder then Sui's.
Round 5:
Sui looking more defensive as Ming now is the only stalking her, Ming using her jab to measure her up, rifling it between the gloves of her rival to knock her back.
The younger fighter tries to catch Ming with a right hook, Ming leans out the way and counters with a straight that lands onto the nose of He, making her howl out and backs up.
Ming clearly smells blood in the air as she charges forwards, smacking Sui with three punches straight onto her face, rocking He backwards.
Till a right hook has Sui leaning on the ropes; MING FOLLOWS UP WITH TWO MORE HARD RIGHTS AND LEFTS THAT PUTS SUI ONTO HER SIDE!
Sui looks shook up as the count begins; 1....2...3...4 Sui touches her bloody nose and winces, before she rolls to her back 5....6....7 the gumshield is spat out next as Sui doesn't seem to have the will to get up 8...9..10 leading her to being counted out!
Winner Ming Xi KO Round 5
After
Ming finally gets a win; which is made even more important to her as the fans chant her name and she has beaten her national rival.
Sui is checked over by the ringside doctor, who helps to sit her up and work on her bloody nose, tears running down her face as she is ashamed to have lost to Ming.
The victor busy doing a lap inside the ring, her face is marked up but she is beaming as the arena seems to be in unison cheering her.
Ming tosses her gloves at Sui; barely looking at her as she is too busy celebrating to cheer about her beaten opponent.
With Sui scowling at her; her nose has stopped bleeding and she slips out the ring with help from her coach, Sui trying to put on a brave face but it can be seen that she wants to burst out in tears.
In the ring; Ming bows to each side to show her thanks to the crowd, giving them a quick speech "I showed tonight that I am ready to push forwards, I will bring a title home!" Which gets a loud round of applause, the crowd of course hoping she can become their first celebrity boxing champion.
Ming leaves the ring with her coach; both smiling like Cheshire cats as they head to the back, looking forwards to the future and bringing more fights back to China in the future.
