Vs
(Written by Girls Friday/Results BBU)(Kear's Kat's vs Free Agent)Intro:The main event tonight sees two youngsters look to turn their careers around after a bad run, Stephanie Davis fights in her hometown of Liverpool in Goodison Park against the "Gypsy warrior" Cher Lloyd.
Stephanie is 25 years old, she stands 5'2 and holds a record of 6 wins, all by knockout and 5 defeats.
Cher is also 25 years old and stands the same height at 5'2, her record though is 5 wins, all by knockout and 4 defeats.
The fighters met at the press conference in dresses (red for Stephanie, black for Cher) when photos were being taken, the girls got right into the others faces and soon were shoving each other.
Cher can be heard calling Stephanie "Scouse c***" which earns her a slap, with Cher slapping Stephanie back and the two women ending up in something resembling a fight outside a night club.
They pull each others hair down as they teeter on their heels, exchanging slap as they throw insults at each other.
When security tries to pull them apart, they kick back at them; trying to keep them away so they can finish this catfight, falling to the stage with hair littering the stage.
Security finally pulls the snarling pair apart, with the journalists forgetting themselves for a moment as they cheer the girls on, wishing they would escape and get back to business right now, instead having to wait till the next night.
The weigh in is eventful too; security creating a barrier between the bikini clad women, who flex their muscles on the scales and spit insults when the other is weighed in, with both needing to be herded off stage again.
Fight night; out comes Stephanie with her coach Gail Kim by her side, Stephanie enjoys the roar from the crowd, jogging to the ring and blowing kisses to the fans.
Her attire tonight is a white sports bra with red trim, white shorts with red strips up the sides, red gloves and shoes, her hair is in a ponytail.
Climbing into the ring; Stephanie bows to the fans, then gets to her corner to begin to warm up by shadow boxing with help from Gail drilling her.
Now out comes Cher to a more decidedly volatile respond, Cher just puts her gloves to her ears, not caring one ounce what the crowd thinks.
Her attire is an emerald green sports bra, matching trunks, shoes and gloves, while her hair is braided for battle.
Climbing into the ring; Cher makes her mouth go in the direction of Stephanie, her coach pulling her back to her corner and tells her to keep her head.
The referee doesn't bother bringing them to the ring centre or a glove, clearly warned by the organisers that things would explode between the fighters if he tried that.
Instead they head to each corner to check on the fighters, warning them to keep things clean and to listen to them, then signals for the bell to ring to start 10 rounds of flyweight action.
Round 1:Out come both fighters; heads down and working away on the inside ad they look to bully each other back, nearly bumping their heads as they are not thinking.
The action can be best described as scruffy, fists banging off the others arms as they try and work away, before going for uppercuts that make both some separate.
Stephanie looks to get back in the face of Cher, who dips under a right and bumps her left shoulder into the body of her opponent to knock her back and lands an overhand right to push Stephanie back further.
The Scouser forced to cover up as Cher comes forwards, trying to hammer the face of the Hollyoaks star, but Stephanie blocks most of the blocks, then sidesteps her and lands a counter straight into the face of Cher.
The fighters soon move back to the inside, both used to driving opponents back, they look to be hating meeting someone willing to go toe to toe with them.
Late in the round; Stephanie leans out the way of a right hook, countering with a right cross and comes forwards with another two punches landing straight into the face of her rival.
The bell rings to end the round; the referee quick to step between the fighters, telling them to get back to their corners.
Both fighters do as told, looking angry as they want to keep going, sitting on their stools knowing that was a hard round to score since both are physically similar, almost fighting a mirror image of them.
Round 2:Again the fighters get stuck into each other; both grunting as they exchange punches to the others body, heads rubbing as the referee warns them to step back.
As they step back; Stephanie lands a straight punch onto the nose of Cher, then follows up with two more punches to push Cher on the back foot.
Cher covering up as Stephanie is looking to slam punches into her face, deflecting most of the punches but getting hit several times to her face.
Using her left to nudge Cher onto the ropes; Stephanie bangs away to the body of her opponent, making Lloyd groan out.
Clinching up with Stephanie; the girls trade insults into the others ears, the referee breaks them up and Cher shoves her left into the face of Davis to boos from the fans.
When Stephanie comes swinging in a rage, Cher dips under a right hook and smacks two rights into the ribs of Stephanie.
With the fighters again slugging it out in the late part of the round, till the bell rings and the fighters glare at each other, exchanging insults as they pass by each other.
Sitting on their stools, the Kear's corner looks the happier of the two crews, Gail just warning to be careful not to get caught out.
Round 3:Neither seems to want to be the first to back down from these exchanges it seems, they are wasting energy early as neither can land cleanly, just smacking at arms or gloves.
Cher gets clipped with a right across her nose as Stephanie steps back to create some space, with the crowd getting hyped as they see Cher get knocked back a few steps.
The hometown fighter leans back out the way of a left hook, slamming a counter right straight onto the nose of Lloyd once again, BEFORE STEPPING IN WITH AN UPPERCUT THAT WOBBLES THE LEGS OF CHER, THE FOLLOW UP RIGHT ACROSS HER CHEEK PUTS CHER DOWN!
The crowd go nuts as they stand up, Stephanie smiling warmly to them as the count begins 1...2...3...4 Cher pushes herself up to a sitting position, 5...6 Cher's left cheek looks a little puffy as she begins to push herself up, beating the count at 8.
As soon as they are waved to fight; Stephanie is quick to go on the attack, for the first time in the fight it seems that there is a gap between them in momentum.
Cher is covering up and being hunted around the ring, when Stephanie lands two body shots in, Cher pulls her into a clinch to give her extra time to recover.
The referee breaks them up, Cher finds herself being pushed back behind her guard again, getting knocked onto the ropes in the final seconds of the round by two straight punches.
The round ends before Stephanie can push on, Davis telling Lloyd "you are going down next round!" The referee staying between the fighters, they'll need a towel to wipe themselves down after all the work they have had to do keeping these two within the rules.
Round 4:Stephanie is the clear aggressor as the round begins again, stalking Cher around the ring, with Cher needing to use head movement and her footwork to stay out of danger.
Both fighters for the first time in the fight begin to really measure each other up, not just get in close and brawl, with Cher looking good on the outside.
But Stephanie parries a right away and steps inside to land three punches to the face of Cher, knocking her back a step.
Stephanie takes control of the round as she bullies Cher to the outside of the ring, blood is trickling from the nose of Cher as she is getting hit on it a little too easily.
Pulling Stephanie into a clinch, Cher looks frustrated as she looks up to the sky, not helped by Stephanie taunting her over needing to hold on to protect herself.
Once apart; Stephanie keeps on the front foot, forcing Cher behind her guard and on the retreat as she keeps banging away on the gloves of her opponent as she keeps her near the ropes.
Late in the round; Cher manages to parry a right as she looks to get off the defensive, the girls trade in close as the seconds tick away.
The bell rings to end the round with Stephanie noticing the blood on her gloves from Cher's nose, waving it in front of her and laughing, Cher manages to shove her and this time the referee can't stop them getting a little extra after the bell.
Both of their coaches rush out to drag them back to their corners, with the fighters scowling across the ring at each other as they are cleaned up.
Gail reminds Stephanie "this is your fight so far, you have the knockdown and you have her running now, the opening to end this will show itself soon enough"
Round 5:Stephanie looks to keep the pressure on Cher, who seems to have abandoned fighting on the inside for the time being, instead she is using the aggressiveness of Stephanie against her.
As Stephanie goes to land an uppercut after landing a jab, Cher leans out the way and counters with a left hook when she straightens back up.
Cher starting to come back into the fight; countering as she bobs and weaves more, Stephanie looking a little frustrated as she isn't landing as cleanly.
Stephanie does manage to catch Cher with a straight onto her bloody nose, that opens up Cher to two follow up strikes that knock her head back.
But Cher further frustrates her by grabbing her right arm and pulling her in to a clinch, the fighters grapple into the ropes as the referee struggles to break them apart.
Once they are separated; Cher is able to get on the move, making Stephanie chase her down and as the Scouse lass gets close to her, she slips under a right cross and slams away to the body with several punches.
Making Stephanie retreat back; Cher keeping tight as she knocks Stephanie onto her heels, drilling her fists into the abs of Davis.
Who shoves her back with a left, the fighters swing away to end the round, with both stopping at the bell and looking at each other.
Bruises look to be forming on both fighters faces, blood runs from the nose of Cher to make her look worse as she sits down.
Cher's coach tells her "keep your head up; that's the first step to getting back into this fight, you are the best in here remember!"
Across the ring; Gail isn't happy with Stephanie, but calmly tells her to just keep the intensity up, Cher is still in her sights and ready to tumble.
Round 6:Stephanie is looking to size up Cher more, Cher's movement and counters seem to have slowed down the charge from Stephanie, with both landing jabs more.
Cher feints with a left up top and ducks down to go to work to the body with a well drilled three punch combo, sweat flies off the body of Stephanie as loudly groans.
Stephanie manages to get Cher back with two punches off the top of her head, with both fighters working in close range, the classic flyweight exchange as they let their hands fly.
But Cher surprises Stephanie by stepping back as she swings a body shot, it leaves her open for a vicious looking right hook across the ridge of the eyebrow of Stephanie.
Who cries out and steps back, the cameras catch that blood is running from a cut there as Stephanie finds herself being knocked backwards by a charging Cher.
Rights seem magnetised to that cut; making Stephanie cry out, A RIGHT HOOK PUTS HER DOWN TO A KNEE AS LOUD BOOS RING OUT IN THE STADIUM!
Stephanie rubs the cut with her glove, 1...2...3 she looks over at Gail after shaking her head to clear it, those punches clearly buzzed her 4...5...6....7 Stephanie begins to pull herself up using the ropes 8...9 beating the count to the delight of her fans.
The referee orders Stephanie to be checked by the ringside doctor, who after checking the cut and clearing it, warns Stephanie to protect it or they will end the fight.
It keeps Stephanie on the defensive for the remaining 30 seconds, Cher taking the fight to her, shoving her to the ropes and flying in with punches smacking into each side of Davis's face.
The round ends with Cher roaring as she knows she has hurt Stephanie, the crowd boo as Cher shows her bloody gloves to them on the way back to her corner.
Gail is fuming; not believing that Stephanie has gotten cut as badly, the ringside doctor watching closely as it is patched up, they give the thumbs up to let Stephanie fight on.
Round 7:Stephanie looks more urgent in her attacks, that cut clearly playing on her mind as she swings more hooks in to try and catch Cher.
Who dances out the way of them, countering with a straight off the nose of Stephanie, before ducking out the way of a right hook and landing an overhand right on that cut that makes Stephanie howl out.
Cher powers forwards with three punches snapping the head back of Stephanie, A RIGHT HOOK FINISHES THE COMBO OFF AND STEPHANIE ENDS UP SPRAWLED ON THE CANVAS!
Again boos ring out as Cher moves away to a neutral corner, 1...2...3...4 Stephanie looks in a bad state as she tries to get up, 5...6 slipping onto her back when she tries to get up 7...8...9...10 ending up being counted out!
Winner Cher Lloyd KO Round 7After:A stunning win for Cher win, one certainly not appreciated by the crowd as they boo her for knocking out one of their own.
Stephanie has the ringside doctor sitting her up, that cut reopened and dripping down the side of her face to make things look more gruesome for her.
Both fighters end up in their corners being patched up, each was hurt through the fight and it shows how battered they are.
But Cher is able to stand on her own feet from her stool, while Stephanie is helped by Gail and a medic to leave the ring, tears running down her face as she is wanting the ground to eat her up.
Cher gets her hand raised by the referee and when Denise Van Outen comes in the ring, the boos intensify; making Denise wonder if it is wise to interview the winner.
Who grabs the microphone from Denise's hands and tells the crowd "oh go home and f***ing cry! I kick your f***ing w****s arse and I'd do it to all you c***s!"
Denise looks gobsmacked as Cher waves for anyone from the crowd to come and try their luck, with security taking the loud mouthed singer out the ring and to the back.
Trash is thrown at Cher, who maybe banned from ever fighting in Liverpool in future, the BBU committee must have their heads in their hands over this incident.
Cher of course won't care one bit; she has her win and will be hoping she is out the slump and back on the road to getting her hands on her arch nemesis Cheryl Cole in future.
