August 2018 P4P rankings
1. Alessandra Ambrosio (BBU lightweight champion) 14-3
2. Cheryl Cole (BBU flyweight champion) 10-2
3. Kaya Scodelario (FCBA bantamweight champion) 9-1
4. Lily Collins 7-1
5. Jenna Louise Coleman 9-3
6. Miranda Kerr (ACB bantamweight champion) 7-3
7. Joan Smalls (BBU welterweight champion) 5-0
8. Hayley Atwell (BBU JMDD champion) 5-1
9. Vera Brezhneva 6-1
10. Doda (Dorotha Rabczewska) 4-0
This breaks down as the following:
Flyweight: 30%
Bantamweight: 30%
Lightweight: 30%
Welterweight: 10%
I have to say this was the hardest set of rankings I have made for the pound for pound lists, any one of the top three in this list could have been the number 1, over the past 12 months they have been a cut above everyone else in their divisions I'd say of the BBU and FCBA.
But Alessandra Ambrosio dethrones Cheryl Cole's impressive 12 month reign at the top of the rankings down to the volume of fights and just on strength of schedule, her beating Yvonne Strahovski (the FCBA lightweight champion) just was enough for us to put her in first place.
Below that was again tough; with many fighters having lots of fights but not impressive records or fighters who'd went unbeaten over the past 12 months, their opposition wasn't of a great standard to the others.
Big things to note are that Lily Collins continues her rise up the rankings, moving from 5th to 4th, a title win in future would definitely put her in the argument for top spot.
Also of note is the reemergence of Jenna Louise Coleman, our original pound for pound queen has hit the ring hard again after she took a break after defeat to Cheryl Cole and of course finds her way in to 5th spot.
Big losers were Miranda Kerr (down from 3rd to 6th) Doda (down from 7th to 10th and the biggest loser, Elizabeth Henstridge leaves the rankings all together after being 4th only 3 months ago.
Big winners are of course Kaya Scodelario with her title win putting her from 6th to 3rd, while Hayley Atwell returns to the rankings in 8th after beating Mary Elizabeth Winstead.
Plenty to digest there, as always I am keen to hear peoples opinions on the rankings, do you agree with them? Who would you have in top spot? And are we missing anyone?
