Mikie Hara vs Marnie Simpson

Results: BBU; Story: VassagoBEFORE: It's Main Event time and Front Street Japan's prized Jewel Mikie Hara is ready to derail Marnie Simpson's title ambitions as rumours swirl around BBU that current flyweight champion Cheryl Cole eyes a classic Geordie beatdown back in Newcastle very soon indeed. There's no official word from the Lioness entourage but Marnie claims she knows about everything that happens behind-the-scenes in the Toon backyard so even BBU TV's Kate Abdo doesn't question her alleged inside knowledge.
However Marnie has to take down former champion in her own backyard first before she can dream about that Geordie classic. This will not be easy despite Mikie suffering a rare defeat versus Tiffany Mulheron earlier this year. Hara is a natural JMD talent as well but Rio Natsume's presence on the FSJ roster leaves that route initially covered even though Kate Abdo thinks that Mikie would be better off targeting the JMD glory after all with her lineal title hopes facing an uphill battle in the otherwise crowded division. JMD is the low-hanging fruit no matter how popular the genre is with the fans!
Marnie shows a ton of arrogance during the introductions, she teases the Tokyo Dome crowd into wild jeers and twerks her booty to rile the hosts up when the Japanese national anthem is played! Mikie keeps it strictly business at first but she's got steel in her eyes according to Kate Abdo and we should expect plenty of fireworks next!
Mikie Hara wears a pink bikini set and white gloves. Long dark brown hair with bangs tied in a sleek ponytail. Marnie Simpson wears a black bikini set and red glovs. Long black hair tied in a half-up ponytail. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the flyweight division.
Round 1:
Both Zara Holland and Chantelle Connelly stunned the hosts with high-tempo offense from the bell and Marnie is no exception from that rule as she wades into the former champ's midsection and clips her jugs for a good measure. Mikie must have seen it coming though as she responds over the top and rattles the fellow brunette with a cruel double combo which triggers another flyweight mindless bash here in the opening seconds! Marnie almost delivers a classic head-butt in the process but she digs her mitts into Hara's flesh in such a feisty manner that the gravure idol trips over her own feet and drops back to the ropes where she soaks up more jug muggin' abuse from the Geordie lass. Ugh! Marnie sure wants that Cheryl showdown according to Kate Abdo and she drills the Japanese midriff to neutralize Mikie in the corner. Ugh! The former champion bounces off the top of Simpson's head in a futile effort to break free but gets picked off to the body regardless and can only clinch the tourist in order to force a stoppage in action late.
Round 2:
More aggressive action from the tourist but her execution drops as Mikie adjusts her approach and shows supreme agility to lure Simpson into cutting thin air instead. A single-hand reply stymies the Geordie attack but Mikie eventually becomes more aggressive herself and targets Marnie up high to test her footwork skills. The back & forth jabbing calmes Kei Mizutani's nerves in the FSJ corner alas Marnie refuses to accept the mid-range struggle and lashes out in style to smack Hara on the right brow ridge before another belter finds the tummy and bends her to the side. A quick overhand finds the lips and drops the ex-champ onto the ropes where she has to apply a burst of the throttle to avoid getting trapped wholesale. Marnie chases her down but runs out of time to connect with additional meaningful strikes before the clock expires.
Round 3:
Mikie has settled into a counter-punching display but still gets picked off too often for Kate Abdo's liking in the booth. The steady head-hunting approach fuels Marnie's gung-ho tactics but she becomes too predictable down the stretch which allows the gravure idol to make her shots count in the second half of the round. Mikie's supreme footwork enables her to work her rhythm from mid-range and Marnie only loops it over the top now that she's been ousted from the bonus JMD territory. She soaks up a late hooking rush to briefly lose her momentum and Hara cleans her up to both temples to probably win the round outright even without massive power surge on display.
Round 4:
More of the same in the fourth, Mikie rides the counter-punching wave once Marnie empties her initial loads that bounce off the high guard too often to make a difference. The Geordie ponytail snaps repeatedly down the stretch with Hara upping the work rate and showing some championship poise to glue her opponent to the spot. Ugh! Marnie gets drilled with a rare body shot to wince in pain but Mikie fails to clobber her back to the ropes and gets dragged into a lenghty wrestling clinch instead. Mikie recovers first after a brief stoppage and launches more head shots to keep Marnie on her toes in mid-range before one of these hooks tags her on the plastic lips and finally wobbles her into the turnbuckle. Hara pounces on her opportunity and lifts the Geordie cleavage late to indicate she can find her way in jug muggin' rules as well; the crowd senses a shift of power here but the clock comes to Simpson's rescue.
Round 5:
Mikie finally hits the front after Marnie appears to think better off it; the Japanese prowl has the Geordie Shore member dancing on her toes but she just can't become that bendy type at all and leaks punches on the fly which only adds to Hara's confidence. This is how champions are born and Mikie doesn't have to chase the gung-ho plan to work the other girl over! Marnie soaks up a relentless head-hunting drive to disappear on the ropes but scores a couple of good hooks on the mouth to prevent a Japanese whitewash even though Mikie begins to bark in her efforts now. She switches low to pierce some extra tummy but only gets clinched into a stalemate and coach Kei Mizutani isn't happy to see that. Marnie bides her time in refusing to obey to the referee's actions and the clock runs out before the former champion can apply more pressure in the corner.
Round 6:
Marnie regains her aggressive mojo but struggles to connect with that big shot upstairs and has to seek success elsewhwere. Hara's fully in her rhythm now and channels more head-hunting glory alas she bounces off the top of Simpson's head to eat a stinger of a punch on the solar plexus. Marnie works from the inside to bury more leather into the Japanese cleavage before literally bumping the fellow brunette onto the ropes. Mikie pushes off and tries to deliver a hooking combo on the lips but gets fooled by a quick deke and then soaks up a wicked hook on the ear that whips her against the ropes with a loud shriek! Ugh! Marnie goes for the follow up and NAILS some jug here to sink Hara into more yelps while running riot to the body afterwards. The ex-champion remains trapped and can't step away from the phone booth slugging that dissects her midsection in numbers! Marnie cleans out the flesh ad settles down into piercing the liver area with more venom as Hara can't lock her down into a clinch anymore and gets pummelled into a standstill before the bell halts the Geordie charge. Uh-oh!! Mikie can soak up a drive or two but even she looks rattled and tries so hard not to hug her ribcage here according to Kate Abdo. But she looks hurt alright and no wonder there's a new spark in Marnie's eyes now!
Round 7:
Simpson gut-checks the slow moving Hara early in the seventh and the superior agility has indeed deserted the gravure idol which allows the tourist to smack some juice in the center of the ring. Mikie gets glued to the spot and skims off the forearms with her response up the middle while Simpson slowly begins to wreck havoc to the otherwise bruised midsection. A quick hook lifts the jugs as well to reel Hara onto her heels but then she gets drilled on the solar plexus and wobbles against her opponent's waist. Marnie scowls in anger and shakes the fellow brunette offf before thumping her with a left/right combo on the jaw! Mikie drops her mitts a little too low and fails to cover up when Marnie turns it from the hip to SMASH her on the lips a split second later... DOWN GOES HARA!!! The ex-champion books a meeting with the canvas and barely escapes the count while resting on all fours until seven! She battles back upright but Marnie's all over her after the command and hoofs the high guard aside to connect with more facial shots. She literally pounds the Japanese girl into the ropes where she hits the facial reconstruction button to smack a subdued Hara around. Ugh! This is going from bad to worse for the hosts now and Mikie's knees simply slide from underneath her once she gets wrecked by all this Geordie wrath!!! DOWN SHE GOES AGAIN and this time it's terminal!!! She slumps on her left side with eyes closed and the ref abandons the count at five!!! KO7 Marnie Simpson!!!
AFTER: The Tokyo Dome is silenced but you can hear that noise over in Newcastle, folks! Marnie gloats over the fallen model but she's got someone else on her mind already and calls out Cheryl Cole for an old fashioned Geordie throw down next! Yes, Cheryl, bring that flyweight belt too since we're going championship mode! Kate Abdo agrees with the call and one can say this was long overdue now that Jade Thirlwall struggled to best the champion in the previous edition of Geordie flyweight title action. Anyone who beats Mikie Hara in her own backyard deserves a shot at the silverware and Marnie has earned her elite spurs regardless what you think of her plastic surgeries!
