Part 1: BBU welterweight title preview The next PPV was announced on Tuesday with the big headliner being that the welterweight champion Joan Smalls will be defending her title against Vogue Williams.
This will be a clash of two unbeaten fighters, Vogue earned this shot after beating Rozanne Purcell to extend her run to 4 wins.
While she will be facing the champion who is unbeaten in 9 bouts, this title fight being her 4th since she won the gold in January ironically of last year.
Physically these two are very similar as only half an inch splits them, they are both in their early 30's as well, with similar styles to make this quite the mirror match up.
The big question is can Vogue perform on the biggest stage of them all? So far that Rozanne fight was her biggest, a domestic rivalry level fight that she saw off with relative ease.
But as in any sport; can you go from that level to the elite in one quick turn around? Vogue is going to need to be at her utter best to win this fight, she can't make any mistakes because Joan has proven to be a finisher.
Honestly I think this fight is too early for Vogue, while she has the physical aspect to challenge, the issue will come when she is under pressure, so far she hasn't experienced that, this is going to be a true sink or swim test.
With that knowledge I am going with Joan to retain within 6 rounds, I think this will be a hurdle too far for the Irish lass to overcome.

Part 2: Vera Brezhneva vs Erica Cerra If you haven't been following the BBU bantamweight title scene, well Doda won the title on Boxing day and well I can tell you since then Vera has been enraged.
The Ukrainian has been after a rematch with her Polish rival for the past few months, with Vera herself nearly dethroning the champion at the time Helen Flanagan, who Doda beat to add to the drama between the two Baltic rivals.
So Vera is basically back to the drawing board, she has to fight her way back into title contention as I know Doda has told me that she wants Vera to jump through hoops and maybe beg for a shot.
The first of these hoops? Well it was former BBU bantamweight champion Erica, who hasn't had many fights to say the least in the past few years, this was a good chance for herself to get noticed in the packed division.
Ironically both spoke more about a title shot then they did about each other, when they did it mostly amounted to "oh I'll beat her" so not the most fiery of exchanges.
When that bell rung though we got a fast start, Vera is always aggressive but Erica clearly had seen tape on her, as the Canadian countered first to set up her own flurries when she got an openings.
A few blows from Erica did seem to venture low as the fight continued, maybe the referee not wanting to be hunted down in the packing lot by the hometown faithful decided to turn a blind eye to that, it certainly helped Erica keep up the lead over her opponent.
Who went down in the third to a looping hook to the temple, Vera beat the count but the bad blood between both women was growing as Vera definitely didn't expect this resistance.
The fourth round finally saw Vera come to life, she caught Erica several times with her power punches, she is one of the hardest hitters in the division, something Erica started to feel.
A body barrage hurt Erica; where ring rust looked to come into effect as she slowed down, Vera bashing her around the ring from that point on.
Till round seven; where first after another barrage Erica took a knee to try to recover, she couldn't though as Vera simply battered her bloody onto the ropes, where thankfully the referee stepped in to save her from more punishment.
This was far from a vintage performance from Vera, but she got the result and showed that killer instinct that has her as one of the most fearsome fighters in the division.
Erica meanwhile should take some heart from this, she gave Vera a test; it came down to fitness to me, if Erica seriously wants to make another charge to the title then she needs to get tune ups first to regain that fight fitness.
If she doesn't really want it and just wants a pay day, then I am sure several other fighters will look to use her to make their name.
I wonder how many fights Vera will have to win to fight Doda again? It is a big money fight for both women, so I hope it won't be too long till that rematch happens.

Part 3: Nadine Coyle vs Inna This is one of the more interesting fights on the card due to what a loss could mean for both women, since they want to break out the journey woman mould to become title contenders.
Nadine is 33 now, she holds a record of 8 wins and 19 defeats, her history with Cheryl Cole is well known, the only way she is going to get a chance at her is if she gets past this fight.
Inna is 32 years old, her record stands at 6 wins and 11 defeats, she has always had the reputation that she is a spoiler for fighters looking to get to that elite level, though her record lately is starting to go against that.
This fight will come down to who gets their range early, Nadine has a 2 inch height advantage over Inna, she has always had good footwork, though maybe not the stiffest jab, so if Inna can get inside she will win the fight.
Hence why I think Inna will get a win on the board here, which will mean that Nadine has some big questions to answer going forwards.
I don't mean that Nadine will retire, if I am correct though I don't see her getting that rematch with Cheryl, especially not with the title on the line.
So Nadine will have to come out the blocks fast, work behind that jab till Inna let's her guard down trying to close the gap, then go for the hard counters to stop her.

Final Part: Ones to watch out for: Flyweights This is the first of our ones to watch we'll be doing in the coming weeks, with 3 women we think with be break out stars and maybe even a champion sometime this year.
We are starting with the most competitive division in the BBU, Cheryl Cole though has had an iron grip on this division for the past two years, so it will take something special to dethrone her.
So the best person to start is the woman we gave rookie of the year to, Sydney Craven came into the BBU with experience of fighting at national level in Taekwando, something that has crossed over as she looks to have great footwork to go with good punching ability.
At only 24 years old and 6 fights in, she has plenty of time to build herself up to title level, this isn't us saying she will definitely be in the title hunt by the end of the year but surprises have been known.
Next up we go more into the top of the tree for our next two, first up is Ivana Baquero; who is still only 24 herself! She has been in the BBU since she 2016, with her debut being a loss to Jenna Louise Coleman.
Since then though the fiery Latin star has went 11 and 2 in the ring, gotten revenge on Jenna, while adding Lily Allen on Boxing day to show she means business.
The issue is that she hasn't had a long volume of fights, usually averaging 4 fights a year, unless it is against the elite you are going to find it hard to be at at top level when it comes knocking, which I am sure it may this year.
Though Ivana might have to wait behind our final pick, while we don't do the award, last year our breakout star was Diana Korkunova.
She is even younger at age 22, since 2017 she has been our rookie of the year (2017) was right in the hunt for the contenders 6 tournament trophy, being the only person to defeat Tiffany Mulheron, who would win the tournament.
I expect her to be in the title hunt this year, I'll make a prediction now that might upset a few, I can see Diana becoming the flyweight champion this year.
I think she has progressed that much as a fighter, along with she has something special in that ring, so Cheryl Cole might want to watch out for this youngster.
That's all we have time for this week, I hope everyone has had fun reading this and that we will see you next Sunday for the next edition of the Real View.
